Thanks for writing and posting this review – my appetite is further whetted. Not sure if/when the film will make it to Dorset, but my children are getting increasingly annoyed with my ‘excuses’.

Nice review – I feel your pain regarding the release date, although luckily I live in France where it came out in April! No sign of the DVD yet though…

I’m glad Miyazaki is now getting more and more recognised in Britain and the USA; I think until now he’s had a bigger following in France, perhaps due to the fact that comics (bande dessinée) are a much more important part of the culture here?

Looks like they did something right, $5.7 million in the first week in US cinemas.

Lets hope it gets a good release in the UK cinemas.
