I very much hope its not an attempt by Ghibli executives to make fans double dip, of which I am highly susceptible to considering the special items that come with the dvd might not be available on the blu-ray version. I’m actually quite perplexed as to why the blu-ray release is a full 5 months behind the dvd, especially when Ponyo is Ghibli’s latest film and no cleaning up/remastering of the film print is necessary.

I very much hope its not an attempt by Ghibli executives to make fans double dip, of which I am highly susceptible to considering the special items that come with the dvd might not be available on the blu-ray version.
