I hope there is a sequel because of the open ending. Did No Name(Nanashi) die or not? There were hints that he could have died but I still wish for a conclusion or a continuation of the story of two unlike individuals who overcame a lot of differences but nevertheless ended up caring deeply for each other. An absolutely great & refreshing story that to my surprise touched me because of the way the two protagonist not openly showing that they really cared, something that you normally do not expect from an Action movie. If the nameless samurai died then all efforts in saving the child will have been futile. The kid will still end up with no one to care & protect him considering the harshness of living conditions & society suring the period the story should have happened.

Great review. The sword fight scenes at the end of the show is hands down the best I've seen in any anime, exceeding my expectations.
